My Portfolio
Welcome to my Portfolio. Here you can see the websites and creations that I have designed so you can get an idea of my skills. The portfolio was written in July 2008 so all the information and stats are correct from this date unless specified otherwise.

AbyssUnderground
www.abyssunderground.co.uk
XHTML1.0: Yes
Date Opened: 2005

Description:
AbyssUnderground is the official help website for Aprelium's web server software, Abyss Web Server. It has a compilation of tutorials and scripts written by myself that anyone who uses the software can view or download for their personal use.

The site was set up as a help website for Aprelium because of their struggle to keep up with support operations for problems that can be fixed by reading the tutorials on AbyssUnderground.

The site gets around 15,000 hits a day.

BetaArchive
www.betaarchive.co.uk
XHTML1.0: No - Commercial phpBB3 board software
Date Opened: August 2006

Description:
BetaArchive is a beta software and operating system collecting community founded on the retirement of another beta collecting website "OSBetaArchive". BetaArchive opened as a continuation of the original "OSBetaArchive" so the members still had a forum to go to.

We have a community size of 900 people and 93,000 posts and receive over 250,000 hits a day. We also have a 918GB archive of software the community has collected available for all regular members of the forum. Information correct in July 2009.

Nompix
www.nompix.com
XHTML1.0: Yes
Date Opened: N/A - Abandoned - Lack of time and resources

Description:
Nompix is still in development, but the aim of the website is to be a place where people can use a set of applications to make their online life a little bit easier. It will contain tools such as an image uploader, an online text editor to store your documents, an online code editor for your websites or application coding, a personal blog and much more.

The site is being developed by myself and 2 friends, plus a few volunteers from BetaArchive.

Since this site is in development you may be unable to see the site in its entirity by clicking on the URL, but I hope it will be online before the end of 2008.

Fraghouse
www.fraghouse.co.uk
XHTML1.0: Yes
Date Opened: February 2008 - Closed - No interest

Description:
The Fraghouse domain was previously owned by a computer gaming center. After 2 years of the domain lying dormant I purchased it in an attempt to bring the people that used to visit the gaming center together. This plan didn't work out and as a result I changed the role of the website to a place where you can download patches for common games.

The website has some active files but because I don't play many games and my friends are busy a lot at the moment with University and exams the site has not had recent game files added.

The website does not receive a great deal of hits since its not publicised anywhere on the web to my knowledge.

CDSE Ltd
www.cdseltd.com
XHTML1.0: Yes
Date Opened: Early 2008

Description:
CDSE Ltd was the first website I designed for Jaycom Computers while I worked there, to a clients specifications. The client sent a short specification and colour scheme for me to work around and this is the design that was formed from that specification. The client was pleased with the outcome.

To accompany this project I also provided an editing script so the client could edit the website at his own free will. I also had to write a 9 page guide on how to use the editing script so "anybody" could understand it, even with no knowledge of how to use a computer.

REPowered
www.repowered.co.uk
XHTML1.0: No - Template was meant to be rough but was never redesigned
Date Opened: August 2006

Description:
REPowered is my personal renewable energy website showing my projects and achievements based on the subject. The aim of the website was to get other people into the hobby and also to explain to them how it worked. The lack of time for the hobby has resulted in no updates for around one year, however I still use my solar system on a daily basis for lighting.

The site has had 11900 front page hits since 21st September 2006.

M3EZW
www.m3ezw.co.uk
XHTML1.0: No - Skills not aquired which this site was designed
Date Opened: February 2004 - Closed - No interest

Description:
M3EZW was originally going to be my personal website based on Amateur Radio but I never found time to develop the site and it has stayed in the state it is in now for over a year. This domain was my first domain which I purchased when I started developing my HTML skills.

The site did have a forum which eventually I had to close due to spam. When the forum was active the site was bringing in around 1000 hits a day. The site now gets just a few hits a day as it lies dormant.
