How much does this server cost and how do you afford it?
The server costs me £57.49 a month. To afford it I get money for it in several ways. Donations, Web Hosting and money from my own pocket. I get donations from BetaArchive from some of its members and I do some Web Hosting for a few friends. Any money not covered by those comes out of my own pocket at the end of the month. You might be wondering why it costs so much. Well, actually, its not that expensive. Just think... The money has to pay for:-
1. The hardware
2. The electricity
3. The connection
4. The data center technicians wages
5. Profit for the company
So you can see how far £57.49 a month has to stretch. I think its a very good deal and you'll struggle to find this sort of offer anywhere else.
